Note from the artist: I continually try to challenge myself with each burn. The most challenging subject I could think to burn was a snowy landscape. Using a combination of burning and carving, I created a quite winter river on a beautiful piece of soft maple. The wood grain creates the illusion of drifting snow and an overcast sky.
